Among the many issues a mother is facing, breastfeeding is one of the most crucial and important to the baby’s health, the building of baby’s immune system and continuing wellbeing. A wealth of literature exists on the benefits of mother breastfeeding her child for as long as she can. Unfortunately, conventional systems for expressing milk from the mother are inadequate and cause pain, highly uncomfortable and inefficient. We have developed and patented a system and method for eliciting milk from a mother in the most comfortable, safe and efficient manner, which has been tested on a considerable number of mothers and at the IASO maternity clinic in Athens, Greece.

How does it work?

The principle of Indirect Suckling is driven by the mouth of the infant and operates in the same way. The Lactogenesis system gently envelops the whole areola and nipple, leaving only the lactiferous ducts’ exit exposed to the levels of vacuum the infant applies. Even when teething, the infant cannot bite or otherwise damage the nipple, as he/she has no direct contact with it, thus making the process completely painless for the mother. The stressless process promotes the optimal neurophysiological response of the mother to the stimuli on her breast tissue and the continuation of milk let-down. This way, mothers can continue offering the benefits of their milk to their infants, which is also highly beneficial for them, for as long as possible.

The single use systems are uniquely adaptable to all pumps and systems in the market, and provide a sterilized and comfortable environment for the areola and the nipple whatever the pump used. More importantly, they can be used “as is” on all competitive brands’ pumps’ to provide more hygiene and improved operation.
